UKI Agility Trial, Feb 2012

Our first sanctioned trial was held under the rules of UKI (United Kingdom International) on Feb 11-12, 2012.  UKI brings European style agility to North America (and now Hawaii).  Check out their website for more information: http://www.ukagilityinternational.com

Here are a few highlights of our first trial!  The weather was fantastic ... typical Mountain View weather with a bit of everything!  A little rain, a little sun and a little cloud, but not too much of anything :)  Dogs arrived from all over the island, from Waimea, and Kona and Hilo.

Our judge, Kim Anderson, brought a guest UKI Judge, Kim Collins ... so we had double Canadian Kim weekend Eh!  You know we spent some time reminiscing about the AAC (Agility Association of Canada).  The courses were fantastic ... with a few new challenges and a new game to learn: Snakes & Ladders!

If you want to skip straight to the official results, here is a PDF copy of the results for the weekend:

This group shot was taken Sunday Morning!  Kim A. is in White to the left of center with Kim C. beside her in blue.

We gave out 3 of our titling Ribbons!  Here is Jeanne and Cayo with their IND (International Novice Dog) and Angelic with Lalama who earned her BID (Beginner International Dog) title on Saturday and went on to earn her IND on Sunday!

Check out our February UKI Trial Photo Album for a whole collection of photos taken by our photographer Patricia Holloway!  Maybe next time we’ll get some pics of her running Kuma, her Australian Shepherd :)

Here are a few pics from the collection:

All of the lovely wooden wing jumps were made by Lenwood.  He also made the wood slatted dogwalk ramps and will be welding me a new set of competition weaves :)

Check out Jack-Built.com for Jumps, Welded Weaves, Contact equipment and Dog Houses!

If you have any other project to be made from wood or metal, ask him, he can do it!
